Cloning The Tasmanian Tiger [Part 1] : What are these animals?

The thylacine  was the largest known carnivorous marsupial of modern times. It is commonly known as the Tasmanian tiger (because of its striped lower back) or the Tasmanian wolf. Native to continental AustraliaTasmania and New Guinea, it is thought to have become extinct in the 20th century. It was the last extant member of its family, Thylacinidae. specimens of other members of the family have been found in the fossil record dating back to the early Miocene.

The Thylacine was sandy yellowish-brown to grey in colour and had 15 to 20 distinct dark stripes across the back from shoulders to tail. Although the large head was dog- or wolf-like, the tail was stiff and the legs were relatively short. Body hair was dense, short and soft, to 15mm in length.
It had short ears (about 80 mm long) that were erect, rounded and covered with short fur. Jaws were large and powerful and there were 46 teeth. Adult male Thylacine were larger on average than females.
The female Thylacine had a back-opening pouch. The litter size was up to four and the young were dependent on the mother until at least half-grown. Interestingly, males also had a back-opening, partial pouch.
At one time the Thylacine was widespread over continental Australia, extending north to New Guinea and south to Tasmania. In recent times it was confined to Tasmania where its presence has not been established conclusively for more than seventy years. In Tasmania the species was best known from the north and east coast and midland plains region rather than from the mountains of the south-west.

Ligers ; The biggest big cat living in the world!

What exactly are ligers?

The liger is a hybrid cross between a male lion (Panthera leo) and a female tiger (Panthera tigris). Thus, it has parents with the same genus but of different species. It is distinct from the similar hybrid tigon. It is the largest of all known extant felines. (Grabbed from wikipedia.com)

A liger is the result of breeding a male lion to a tigress. A tigon is the result of breeding a male tiger to a lioness. Since lions and tigers do not exist in the same areas, this is not something that happens in the wild. It is done in captivity by disreputable carnies to produce a freak that ignorant people will pay to see. These cats suffer from many birth defects and usually die young. Because ligers are usually larger than either parent, it also puts the tigress at great risk in carrying the young and may require C-section deliveries or kill her in the process. When the public quits paying to see these unfortunate creatures, the evil people responsible for breeding them will stop this inhumane practice. (grabbed from bigcatrescue.com)

In my opinion and knowledge, ligers is an animal whom its father is a male lion and its mother is a tiger.

Its attitudes and properties!

Ligers enjoy swimming, which is a characteristic of tigers, and are very sociable like lions. Ligers exist only in captivity because the habitats of the parental species do not overlap in the wild. Historically, when the Asiatic Lion was prolific, the territories of lions and tigers did overlap and there are legends of ligers existing in the wild. Notably, ligers typically grow larger than either parent species, unlike tigons which tend to be about as large as a female tiger and is the cross between a male tiger and a lioness. (Grabbed from wikipedia)

Ligers usually are as large as their parents or bigger. They are social and they only exist in captivity.

Meet 'The Gang'

I listed some ligers that I saw in the net. Lets see who they are and their properties.

A Liger Named Patrick

Perched on the edge of the Mojave Desert near Los Angeles , California , a lone liger, named Patrick, lives at Shambala Preserve, which bills itself as “a haven for endangered exotic big cats.”
“The interesting thing about these animals is that they have the best qualities of the tiger and the best of the lion,” said movie actress and conservationist Tippi Hedren, who has run Shambala since 1972. “Those qualities manifest themselves in the fact that they like to be in the water [a tiger trait] and are very social [a lion trait].”
Many of the cats at the 80-acre (32-hectare) sanctuary are orphans or castoffs from circuses, zoos, and private owners who could no longer care for the animals.
ShambalaPatrick arrived at the sanctuary seven years ago after federal authorities shutdown the roadside zoo in Illinois where he lived.
The 800-pound (360-kilogram) liger was kept in such a small cage that his hind-leg muscles had started to atrophy, said Hedren, who starred in Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds.
Patrick’s compound at Shambala allows him plenty of room for exercise. A stream runs through his compound, so his tiger half can play in the water or his lion half can stay out of it, whichever he chooses.

Tiger in the Hills

Spirit of the Hills Wildlife Sanctuary in Spearfish, South Dakota , recently acquired a liger named Samson and 48 other big cats after federal authorities closed a Minnesota wildlife facility.
“Everyone who comes wants to see Samson,” said Trevor Smith, an environmental biologist and sanctuary board member.
The four-and-a-half-year-old hybrid tips the scales at over a thousand pounds (over 450 kilograms), and eats 30 to 50 pounds (14 to 23 kilograms) of raw meat every other day.

“Samson is really picky. He’ll only eat beef, elk, and venison,” Smith said. “We try and feed him chicken, like the other animals, but he won’t touch it. He’ll let it rot in the sun.”
The sanctuary-whose mission is to educate people about wild animals and emphasize that they don’t make good pets-has seen a surge in visitors since Samson’s arrival in June.
Much of the public’s curiosity about the liger stems from Napoleon Dynamite, Smith said.
Smith worries that Samson is “becoming too much of a freak show.”
If Samson had his way, Smith said, he’d sleep away the day inside, away from public view.
“We’ve had a huge ethical debate at the sanctuary on whether or not we should lock him out of his shed,” Smith said. “But at the same time, he’s why the visitors are coming.”

Ligers: Untold Abuse Stories

You can stop the abuse. Don’t support places, like T.I.G.E.R.S. and Jungle Island, that breed ligers. Bhagavan Antle who calls himself Doc Antle, the person you will most often see promoting this shameful practice, has gone to great lengths to stop us and the brave young girl who created the video at the bottom of the page, from letting you know the truth. Visit her YouTube site HERE and let her know you appreciate what she is doing to prevent the future breeding of ligers and tigons.

Ligers Has Siblings?

A tigon is the product of a male tiger and female lion. They receive growth inhibitor genes from both parents and so are smaller than either of them. They show much the same coloration of ligers except they sometimes have more distinct stripes. As with ligers the females are fertile whereas the males are sterile. They have the same vocalizations as liger, a sort of cross between lion and tiger. Ti-tigons speak tiger. Tigons are now rarer than ligers, but in the late 1800’s/early 1900’s tigons were more common.

The Megaladon : Is it alive?

Megalodon is an extinct species of shark that lived approximately 15.9 to 2.6 million years ago, during the Cenozoic Era (middle Miocene to end of Pliocene).
The taxonomic assignment of Megalodon has been debated for nearly a century, and is still under dispute. The two major interpretations are Carcharodon megalodon (under family Lamnidae) or Carcharocles megalodon (under the family Otodontidae). Consequently, the scientific name of this species is commonly abbreviated C. megalodonin the literature.

C. megalodon is regarded as one of the largest and most powerful predators in vertebrate history, and likely had a profound impact on the structure of marine communitiesFossil remains suggest that this giant shark reached a maximum length of 18 metres (59 ft), and also affirm that it had a cosmopolitan distribution. Scientists suggest that C. megalodon looked like a stockier version of the great white sharkCarcharodon carcharias.
Source : WIKIPEDIA
It is reported to still be alive today. Is it true that the amazing creature is still alive today? Watch for yourself.
In my opinion, megaladon is not alive today. It is reported to be extinct 15.9 million years ago. The fossils are found and scanned. And most of the sightings could be a whale shark or basking shark. It COULD still be alive today. Who knows?
Sincerely, Aditya.

vI feel like there are somebody that is following me. Whatever it is, the creature is big. The color of its body is brown. I can’t really describe it in detail because I'm too scared to look behind. I finally arrived. I arrived at Pine Village. But there is something different. There is only a few people left. What is this? What? Why? The king is also not there.

What is a Megalania? Does it still exist?

What is a Megalania?

Megalania is a very large goanna or giant monitor lizard. They were part of a megafaunal assemblage that inhabited southern Australia during the Pleistocene. They seem to have disappeared between 40,000 and 30,000 years ago. Scientists believe that they still exist because the latest megalania fossil that have been found was predicted to be the bone of a living megalania 300 years ago. Many sightings starts to appear, australians believe that Megalanias are still out there. They are believed to hunt Humans.
Early estimates placed the length of the largest individuals at 7 m (23 ft), with a maximum weight of approximately 600–620 kg (1,320–1,370 lb). However, more recent and more rigorous studies give very different results from one another. Scientists estimate the length of Megalanias to be 4-5 metres long.

PROOF/SIGHTINGS

In 1979, biologist Frank gordon saw what he thought was a log near his vehicle. After turning the engine on, the log scampered off. It ended up being some sort of 30 foot long lizard.
Another report of the Megalania involves a farmer whom observed a giant lizard walking along the edge of his farm...where the fenceposts were. Using the fenceposts as guides, he estimated the lizard to be around 25 feet.

In new guinea in the 1960s, a french priest was traveling with a native. Suddenly, they spotted a huge lizard lying on a fallen tree bathed in the sun. Scared out of their minds, the two turned around and headed back where they came. Later the next day, the priest came back and measured the log...it was 40 feet long...and the lizard had stretched the entire length of it.

Add these reports to the fact that recent Megalania bones have been dated to be only 300 years old and that Rex Gordon, an expert on the Megalania took plaster castings of some 30 footprints that match a Megalania almost exactly...and you've got yourself quite a mystery.

See this for yourself and proof if this is real or not. I, myself believe that this creature is still roaming around.
Here are some websites and videos that supports Megalania's proof of existence. I also put links for Megalania information so everybody can analyze.

Crazy bigfoot sighting in Virginia! [June 2014] Are they real?

{25/6/2014) Picture of bigfoot that is captured by the father of 40 year old Randy O'Neal.

25 years ago, Randy O'Neal, his friend and his father was on a night camp at Virginia. It was 9 PM and they were fishing and shooting beer cans.As they wen't back to their camp, Randy saw a red eye following them from the distance. Randy's father had enough of Randy's tattling. "Go shoot the damn thing" Randy's father said. Randy shot the creature and it let out the most blood curdeling scream anybody could imagine.

25 years later, at 28 june 2014, his father and his father's friend wen't back to the area and saw this creature. Randy is not saying that this creature is bigfoot, but it might be.

"For all who think I am pulling a "Fast one" on you: My story from being a teenager is as true as the day is long. I don't claim to have "Shot" Bigfoot. I claim to have shot a creature that we never identified. As for the photos, they were taken by my 72 year old father on June 28, 2014 with his old school flip phone. Good clear pics for not being an HTC phone in my opinion. Pics are from the same woods where we had our strange encounter 25 years ago. You believe or you don't. There is no in-between. Same with God, you believe or you don't. Me sharing my pics and story is as far from "Spam" as you can get." (Randy, YT Account)
"For the record. My story from 25 years ago is true. The photo's are real and not photoshopped. #1 I am not willing to pay the price for the Adobe Gold Plated Software lol. Who am I? I am a husband and father of 3. Our kids are grown and now we train and ride horses as a hobby. As a profession, I am a Microsoft Certified Instructor. I have better things to do with my life than creat a hoax for anyones pleasure.
I have lived with this encounter most of my life and when my father caught these pictures I actually called bullshit on him. I thought the pictures looked real but thought my dad had found a way to trick me because of my memories. This is not a trick. My dad doesn't have the knowledge necessary to alter an image. In fact, he doesn't have internet access and couldn't google a peanut. He is 72 and refuses modern day technology.
When I first posted one of these pics on Facebook, it was just to share with friends and family who have heard my childhood story numberous times. I was quickly contacted by a friend who encouraged me to make this into a youtube video before someone stole my images.
Well, I did and 48 hours later, here we are. This is the true story and if you are a believer then you will believe. If not, then you won't. " (Randy, YT Account)

Now its time for you to proof that it's real or not. See this two videos and analyze to proof if its fake or not.
